Miss Beardsley to Wed Anthony E. Fahnestock
MIDDLETOWN--Mr. and Mrs. Randolph H. Beardsley, Sleepy Hollow Rd.,announce the engagement
of their daughter, Marion Fay Beardsley, to Anthony Emmet Fahnestock, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Burton Fahnestock of Southport,
Conn., formerly of Oystrer Bay Dr., Rumson.
Miss Beardsley,a graduate of Rumson Country Day School and Miss Porter's Schhool in Farmington, Conn., also attended Wheaton
College, Norton, Mass.
She was presented to society in September, 1961, at the Rumson Debutante Ball and was a member of the New York Junior Assemblies.
Miss Beardsley is with the press office at the White House, Washington, D.C.
She is the grand-daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John M. Ellis of Rumson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Randolph F. Beardsley
of New York City.
Mr. Fahnestock attended Greenvale School and was graduated from Brooks School. He is an alumnus of Williams College, Williamstown,
Mass., and is now serving in the U.S. Army.
He is the grandson of Mrs. Harold F. Hadden of Southport, Conn., and the late Mr.Hadden,and of Mrs. Wladimir von Orlik Bouimistrow
of New York City and the late Snowden A. Fahnestock of Washington, D.C.

Anthony Fahnestock, A Stock Manager, 52
NAVESINK, NJ--Anthony E. Fahnestock, an investment manager in Manhattan, died on Monday
at home in Navesink, N.J. He was 52 and also lived in Brooklyn. The cause was cancer, his family said.
For the last seven years Mr. Fahnestock was a partner and the senior vice president of Desai Capital Management, where he
helped oversee investments in growth companies like Au Bon Pain, Loehmann's and Snapple Beverage.
Earlier he worked two years as a managing director of Donaldson Enterprises Inc., a private management company, and three
years as a general partner of Coady, Fahnestock & Company, an investment banking firm.
From 1969 to 1980 he worked for Goldman, Sachs & Company, where he was a general partner and vice president of corporate finance.
He began his career in 1964 at Morgan Guaranty Trust, where he became an assistant treasurer. He was also a director on the
boards of 10 companies.
His marriage to the former Marion Beardsley ended in divorce.
He is survived by his mother, Valerie, of Jupiter, Fla.; his wife, the former Andrea Henderson; two daughters, Lisa, of Manhattan
and Jenny, of Chicago, and a brother, Richard of Southport, Conn.
